how it runs.

  1. 01

    the schedule

we go through every release in the term with you and set the order the press hears them, long-lead outlets first.

  2. 02

    the list

one media list for the label, built once and kept: the trades, the genre's outlets, the radio shows that run interviews.

  3. 03

    every week

each release is pitched on its own timeline, and one report covers the whole schedule: who was pitched, who replied, what runs.

questions.

how much does music PR for a record label cost?

from $5,000 a month, with a 3-month minimum. how many releases it covers is set in writing before you start. a single record on its own is the press campaign, at $500 to $2,500 a month.

how is a label retainer different from a campaign per release?

a campaign is built for one record. a label retainer runs every record in the term from one plan: one media list that grows with each release, one calendar, and one report a week for all of them.

can a release be added during the term?

yes. it goes on the calendar, and if it takes the schedule past what the retainer covers, the difference is priced in writing before work on it starts.

do you announce label news as well as records?

yes. signings, anniversaries, catalog moves and new partners go to the trades as part of the retainer.

is radio or playlist promotion included?

no. both are separate campaigns run by separate specialists.

one record on its own is the press campaign. one announcement is the press release.
